On the short trip from your accommodation to Haka Pa Maori Village our guide will explain the passionate Powhiri, the formal welcome you are about to receive.  Get ready to immerse yourself in Maori Culture as we share with you the customs and traditions you will encounter while visiting our Pa, or Maori Village.

On arrival, visitors will enter the Maori Village together and experience a Powhiri, the formal Maori welcome of peaceful entry.  Once welcomed into Haka Pa, you will take a step back in time as you wander through our Maori Village and experience how Maori lived in pre-European times.

Regale yourself with myths and legends that will fascinate and charm you.  Enjoy traditional song and powerful dance performed with rhythm and passion from the heart.
